Detroit Lions Punt Pass & Kick!
Your child will get to participate in the Hungry Howie’s Punt/Pass/Kick event held at Ford Field. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for your child to play football in front of thousands of fans also includes game tickets for two to a Detroit Lions game, and a Goodie Bag for your child (which may include hats/t-shirts, football or jersey). at the Home and Award-Winning Gardens of Dr. and Mrs. Bonine
Long-time food enthusiasts Fred and Shawn Bonine will be your chefs for this memorable epicurean evening, beginning with appetizers set amidst the seasonal Bonine gardens (which have been featured in the LaCasa garden tour, Lake Living, as well as having won awards from the Howell Garden Club).
A favorite menu by the hosts has included pheasant consommé with morel mushrooms baked in a puff pastry; a salad course of Boston lettuce dressed with a heritage Michigan-French-derived celery seed dressing from the 1800’s; a poultry course of marinated, mesquite-grilled quail with a Shitake risotto; a duo of cold soups for a July night; a fish course of wine-fennel poached Halibut with a dilled sauce; an intermezzo sorbet of ginger, coconut, and lemon verbena; roasted, Frenched rack of New Zealand lamb with a lavender blossom, rosemary & garlic crust; a flourless chocolate torte with a tarragon sorbet; and a final cheese course before a parting amuse bouche. The hosts will determine the meal menu, with sensitivities towards allergies. Ingredients tend to be sourced locally and health conscious.

In addition to the game, tour the Skandalaris Football Operations Center (see the players lounge, weight and training rooms), the Clara Bell Smith Student Athlete Academic Center, and Spartan Stadium Tower.

Sideline passes are good until kickoff, at which point unauthorized persons must return to their regular seats—yes, unfortunately this means you and your football-crazy friends. What do you get the child or grandchild that has everything? How about a one-of-a-kind birthday party with our hometown heroes – the Howell Area Fire Department! The Howell Area Fire Department will host a birthday party for 25 people (parents included) for your special child or grandchild. After cake and ice cream (provided by Vina), your party will enjoy a private tour of the fire department and fire trucks, complete with pictures and a souvenir for the birthday child to remember this special occasion. The fun doesn’t stop there - you also get to escort Santa in the 2012 Howell Fantasy of Lights Parade (November). Four people will get to ride in The Howell Area Fire Department Command Vehicle with a firefighter and escort Santa at the close of the parade. If a party doesn’t make you want to bid how about lunch prepared by the Fire Chiefs at the Fire Department for you and four guests.
Winning bidder must find mutually agreeable dates with the Howell Area Fire Department (Monday through Sunday), allowing a 60-day notice. (Dates may be subject to last minute change if a major fire occurs). Birthday party at the fire department is limited to 25 people, for not more than 3 hours: Fantasy of Lights parade is limited to 4 people; fire department lunch by Fire Chief is limited to 5 people.
